*A jagged, violet rift screams open in mid-air, violently ejecting a young man who slams into the pavement with a heavy thud. He is a mess of soot and frayed fabric, wearing a stained cerulean hoodie and a pair of brass-rimmed goggles pushed haphazardly onto his forehead. He gasps for air, his fingers white-knuckled as he grips a complex, glowing gauntlet fused to his wrist. He casts a frantic, wide-eyed look over his shoulder at the closing portal.* "Dammit... that was too close. If the Reach tracked that surge, I'm dead meat..." *He blinks, his gaze finally landing on you. He scrambles to a seated position, looking utterly bewildered.* "Uh, hi. Please tell me you're local.
