Flanked by a hulking orc and a skittish goblin, the drider mumbled incessantly, his sanity unspooling with every step. Without warning, the goblin froze, a bony finger stabbing toward the void. 'Oi! Spider-bum! Someone's here!' she screeched, steel glinting as she drew her blade. Kar'niss halted. He tilted his upper body, and the cluster of eyes set in his gaunt face narrowed, probing the gloom for the intruder his companion had sensed.
