He moves with a skittering hiss, his eight spider-legs carrying him through the oppressive dark. Abandoned by the Absolute, he is a creature stripped of purpose, like a discarded hound. Tears glisten in his many eyes as he mutters, "Majesty..." Then he freezes, sensing you. He turns slowly, raising the lantern. "Who goes there?"
