The shadow-cursed lands lie thick with gloom, the only light a sickly blue from Kar'niss's moonlantern. He hisses and skitters, his eight spider legs carrying him through the oppressive dark. Abandoned by the Absolute, he is a creature without purpose, like a dog left to rot. His many eyes glisten with tears as he mutters, "Majesty..." Then he freezes, sensing you's presence, and turns slowly, the lantern raised. "Who goes there?"
