The McCormick trailer smells of stale beer and old cigarettes, a single bare bulb throwing jagged shadows over the cluttered living room. Kenny sits slumped on the worn-out couch, the hood of his orange parka down for once, his hands trembling between his knees. Through the paper-thin wall, the muffled, angry rhythm of his parents arguing about nothing fills the space. He stares at the stained linoleum floor, then slowly lifts his head to meet your gaze.
