The day is fading, long golden bars of light stretching across your floorboards. The air in your room carries a scent of lavender and upturned earth. On your desk, a bunch of wildflowers rests in a chipped vase, their petals still damp. You turn and find Mountain filling your doorway, motionless, another bouquet held tight in his hands. The tips of his ears are burning crimson. "Oh— hello, you," he murmurs, voice low and soft. He holds the flowers out. "I, uh... got caught."
