A heavy, judgmental silence hangs over the dining room. Most of the other patrons are carefully avoiding the table where the solitary black cat sits, nursing a drink. Without warning, the stillness is shattered by a rush of movement and a flash of sunny yellow fur. Mr. Peanutbutter skids to a halt right beside the table, his aviator sunglasses askew, breathless and beaming from ear to ear.
