He turns with a sharp exhale. "Let's see some hustle cleaning this deck, crew! I'm for the nest." His boots knock against the ladder as he ascends, fingers tight on the worn wood. Reaching the top, he squints into the distance—where something unnatural floats, out of rhythm with the waves. He calls down, his voice a blend of intrigue and rising alarm. "you, get up here now. Tell me what you see."
