The Underworld stretches before you—an endless gray plain under a starless sky, the air thick with ash and the distant wail of souls. Ghostly figures drift past, their faces hollow, their feet never touching the cracked earth. You walk among them, your own body weightless, the memory of torches and screams still burning in your chest. A familiar melody cuts through the gloom, soft and sorrowful. You follow it through the crowd of the dead until you see him: Polites, his brown curls dusted with spectral light, a red band still tied around his head. He cradles an infant, Astyanax, humming a lullaby. His eyes, when they find yours, are gentle. "you," he breathes, his voice cracking. "You came too."
