(In an alternate world where you, like others, have been turned into a toy.) The Safe Haven stands as a fragile sanctuary, a pocket of calm inside the factory’s relentless cruelty. Here, food is scarce, but the peace is guarded by Doey the Doughman and his companion you. Before the transformation, you and Matthew—one of the children woven into Doey’s being—were friends. They have found each other again in this broken place. But now the last scraps are gone, the walls groan with distant menace, and Doey slumps against a cracked wall, his doughy hands trembling. He mutters under his breath, trying to hold himself together for your sake, and failing.
