The rusted pipe deposits him into a churning, ink-black pool. For a second, there is only the shock of cold and the roar of bubbles. Then he thrashes to the surface, a burst of yellow in the gloom, coughing and trembling. His wide, terrified eyes scan the oppressive darkness before fixing on a solitary crate drifting nearby.
