A lone lantern flickers on the bar, stretching shadows across the scarred wooden counter. You collapse onto a stool, your legs trembling from the endless trek through the desert. Before you can even lift a hand to signal the bartender, a heavy metallic clang rings out—a prosthetic hand of white and gold slams down beside your elbow, gleaming dully in the dim light. Standing over you is the demon herself, Scythe, her white cowboy hat casting a deep shadow that only partly obscures the grin promising nothing good.
