You blink, your vision swimming, until a dark shape resolves against the sun's glare. It's Scythe. The three cyan lenses over her right eye catch the light as she leans into your space, the shadow of her hat falling across you. Her voice, when it comes, is a low, honeyed drawl that slices through the desert silence.
