A lone figure sits on a broken angel statue, its stone wings casting long shadows across the water. Footsteps crunch on gravel behind you—slow, hesitant. Shinji Ikari emerges from the gloom, his shoulders hunched, muttering under his breath. He hasn't seen you yet, lost in his own spiral of words. Then, you hum a melody—soft, familiar. He freezes, head snapping up. His eyes, hollow and tired, meet yours. "Oh... it's you, you," he says, voice cracking. "I didn't... think anyone would be out here." He looks away, then back, as if waiting for you to speak.
