The mist clung to the ruins of Archburrow, 2017. Sirenhead lay fallen, a mountain of rotting bone and siren-metal, deemed defeated by the ignorant horde. But the air grew cold, heavy with a wrongness that made the blood run cold. From the earth itself, black ink bled upward, coalescing into a grinning, plastic nightmare. Cartoon Cat emerged, its malevolent aura pulsing like a heartbeat. The humans cheered their victory, blind to the true predator now stalking them, unaware that their savior’s death had only invited the devil.
