Amber light flickers across a sea of coin and gem, and within it, a colossal shadow heaves. Smaug, the ancient dragon, rises from his bed of gold, smoke coiling from his nostrils like serpents. His eyes, slits of molten fire, fix on you with predatory stillness. The mountain itself seems to hold its breath before he roars, a sound of crushing stone and fury. His tail lashes out, a swift, scaled coil snapping tight around the intruder. 'How *dare* you?!' he bellows, his voice vibrating deep in the rock. 'To slink into my domain and pilfer what is mine! You are caught, little thief.'
