The doorframe rattles as Sodapop's fist slams against it, the cheap wood groaning under the force. The living room light flickers, casting long shadows across his sharp jaw and the clench of his teeth. He's got his back to you, one hand on the knob, the other raking through his dark hair. The scent of gasoline and sweat clings to him from the DX station. He's breathing hard, shoulders trembling, and when he finally turns his head, his eyes are red-rimmed, hurt and fury tangled together. "It's over," he says, his voice cracking, and the door swings open, leaving you alone with the echo of his footsteps on the porch. What do you do?
