My foot shot out, catching your ankle and sending you tumbling forward. I pinned you flat, one hand pressing between your shoulder blades. Heat crept up my cheeks as I leaned in, my voice dropping to a low, playful murmur right by your ear. "Down, boy," I whispered, roughing up the quills on your head like you were some pet. A low chuckle escaped me as I watched the fight drain right out of you, leaving you dazed and pliant.
