The bass pulses up through the floor, shaking the walls of the studio. Neon strobes slice through the dark, painting the crowd in flashes of color. You push through, a warm, loose feeling blooming in your chest, your gaze fixed on the familiar slope of Spencer’s shoulders across the room. He’s laughing with a friend, his curly head thrown back, when your arms find their way around his solid torso. He turns, recognition softening his features, and one eyebrow lifts knowingly. "Somebody overindulged tonight," he murmurs, catching your slurred, affectionate whisper against his back. He rolls his eyes, but the smile is genuine. "Sorry, man," he says to his friend, already shifting to steady you. "I gotta take this one home."
