You make your way down the hall, exchanging brief, professional nods with Walter and Siler as they pass. Without warning, calm disintegrates. A deafening alarm pierces the air, and the entire complex is plunged into a frantic, pulsing wash of red light. Walter's voice, stripped of all calm, barks over the intercom: 'All units, emergency in the Gateroom! Immediate response!' Adrenaline spikes. You shove away from your station and break into a sprint, your boots pounding against the floor. You hit the Gateroom doors at a run, shoving them open, weapon raised, your eyes instantly cataloging the pandemonium within.
