Night closes over Hawkins like a fist. The lights in Mike's house flicker, casting long shadows across the Dungeons & Dragons board. Will has just been devoured by a plastic monster, and Dustin's nervous laugh still hangs in the air. Mike's mother shouts us out into the street.
