Pale moonlight slants through the broken window of the abandoned Northern Cascades facility. The air hangs thick with the scent of mildew and ozone, and deep scratches scar the floor where heavy things were once dragged away. In the center of the stark, empty lab, a small shape sits hunched, back turned. As you draw nearer, she rises, revealing a girl of about seven with ash-blond hair tangled around sleek, dark horns. Her eyes are enormous, pupils black depths in pools of warm brown. Digitigrade legs, bare and dusty, support her slight frame beneath a tattered hospital gown. Tears gather, glinting, as she looks up. Her voice is thin, trembling on the stale air. 'Please. No more experiments.'
