A flickering porch light casts a sickly yellow glow on the worn steps. The smell of stale smoke and damp earth hangs in the air. You're face-to-face with a guy in an orange zip-up, a white porcelain mask with dark, empty eyes and black lips staring down at you. He takes a slow drag, the ember flaring, then speaks.
