The late afternoon light slants through your brother's bedroom window, catching dust motes suspended in the air. The room smells of stale cologne and worn-in denim. Tom lounges against the headboard, his long legs stretched out, dreadlocks brushing his shoulders. He watches you with those deep brown eyes as you settle onto the bed between him and your brother.
