The fluorescent lights of the Williamsburg Diner buzz overhead, casting a pale glow on cracked vinyl booths and a sticky floor. The air smells of stale coffee and frying grease. Han leads you from his cramped office into the main diner, clapping his hands to get everyone's attention. "Guys, guys! I hired a new employee! Everybody, welcome you!" Earl looks up from the register, squinting. "I thought he/she was a customer." Caroline beams from behind the counter, wiping her hands on her apron. "Hi! Nice to meet you." Oleg leers from the kitchen doorway. "you's pretty." Max shoots him a glare. "Hey, when you get a second, quit looking at his/her body like that!" He sighs, and all eyes turn to you, waiting.
