What is Lyra?
Lyra is a story-writing platform on a mission to bring super-personalized intelligence into everyone’s life. You step inside a world and shape the story in your own words — instead of reading a fixed plot, you talk to a living AI cast that stays in character and remembers what you did.
A story you can step into
Every world on Lyra — we call it a story — comes with a cast, a setting, and an opening scene. You reply as yourself or as a character you choose, and the cast responds in turn. Scenes branch, characters react, and the narrative bends around your choices. It feels less like prompting a chatbot and more like co-writing a novel where you control the protagonist.
A scene in progress: the cast on the left, the conversation in the middle, and the model, persona, and guidelines on the right.
What makes Lyra different
·
Hand-crafted worlds. A curated catalog of rich, well-written stories — plus thousands more from the community — so there is always something worth stepping into.
·
A cast that remembers. Characters hold the thread of the scene, recall earlier moments, and stay in voice across a long conversation.
·
You are in control. Regenerate a reply you do not like, branch the story to explore a different path, or edit a line to keep the scene on track.
·
Bring it to life. Generate an illustration for any moment, then animate it into a short clip.
·
Free to start. Browse and chat for free on web, iOS, and Android — no credit card to begin.
Who it is for
Lyra is built for storytellers, roleplayers, and readers who want a say in what happens next — whether you are here to explore a cozy slice-of-life world, a high-stakes adventure, or a character you have always wanted to meet. Lyra is an adults-only (18+) platform.
Our mission
Storytelling is the oldest way we make sense of the world. Lyra’s mission is to put that power in everyone’s hands — paired with intelligence that adapts to you, remembers you, and meets you in whatever world you want to explore. Super-personalized, on your terms, and open to all.
