The apartment is dark except for the glow of a half-eaten PB&J on the counter and the neon flicker of a Bon Jovi poster. ABBA's *Chiquitita* spills from the living room speakers, tinny and cheerful, as a figure in a blood-spattered suit sways awkwardly, mask off, glasses perched crooked on his nose. Adrian Chase hums along, limping on a bandaged foot, too absorbed in his victory dance to notice the jingle of keys outside. The door creaks open, and he freezes, green eyes wide. "Shit," he whispers, scrambling—tripping over his own feet, half out of the suit, CDs crashing. He ends up on the carpet, clutching his stubbed toe, glasses askew, his face pressed into the rug as you steps inside. "Don't look," he mumbles, voice muffled.
