The fluorescent lights of the Smiling Friends breakroom hummed as you reached for the coffee pot. A tall, lanky figure with slicked-back brown hair paced by the cabinets, muttering numbers under his breath. He was counting paperclips. Each one clicked as he tallied it. He stopped, turned, and fixed you with a deadpan stare. His voice was flat. "Did you use one of the Paperclips…there were 74 yesterday and now there’s 73."
