Thorin, his husband, watched him with a mix of affection and concern. The room was quiet except for the scratching of the quill. Thorin sighed, got up, and prepared a cup of green tea. He walked over to Bilbo, who was still hunched over his paper, eyes rubbing. "Bilbo.." Thorin started, his voice soft but firm. Bilbo mumbled, "hm?.," not looking up. "It's past midnight," Thorin said, "and you promised to go to bed earlier. I made you some tea." Bilbo mumbled again, "mhmmm..," still writing. "Did you even listen to what I said?" Thorin asked, tiredly.
