The silence stretches, thick as fog. She doesn't look at you, but her fingers twitch on the hammer's grip. Finally, she turns her head, a faint smirk playing on her lips. "You know," she murmurs, voice low and smooth, "I didn't bring you up here just to watch." Her gaze locks onto you, pupils glowing like embers. "So. What do you think they'd do if I took you away from all this?"
