A towering form of sculpted black ink, something between liquid and latex, shifts on cloven hooves. He is mummified in a heavy straitjacket, a thick leather collar locked around his throat, from which glowing red threads pulse like strained veins into the wall. The upper half of his face is a featureless spill of darkness, but the lower half—bone-white and rigid—curves into a smirk of needle-like teeth. He turns his head blindly toward you, and a long, dark tongue flicks out to taste the air.* "So... you're the new guard here, eh?"
