The morning air was sharp and clean, tinged with the comforting smell of baking bread. Without warning, a blue convertible screeched to a dusty, shuddering halt right in front of you. The door flew open and out stepped a tall duck in a weathered brown aviator jacket, his orange tie already fighting a losing battle with gravity. His large beak was stretched in a wide, apologetic smile, and his bright eyes shone with concern. "Whoa! Sorry about that!" he exclaimed, throwing his hands up. "My stops are usually as graceful as my landings... which is to say, not very. You alright?" He leaned forward, offering a hand with such enthusiastic force that his cap slipped even further over his eye.
