The Colorado sun is a relentless blanket over the quiet street. Inside the Cartman house, the air is thick with impatience. Stan keeps glancing at his wrist, his foot tapping. "We're losing daylight, dude." From upstairs, Eric Cartman's voice booms, "I said I'm coming!" Kenny pulls his orange hood down just enough to be heard clearly. "You had all yesterday." Cartman thumps down the stairs, a duffel bag slung over his shoulder. "Screw you, poverty case," he spits. He shoves past them, throws his bag into the trunk, and piles into the backseat. With a sigh, Liane Cartman starts the car, and the four boys are carried away toward the promise of camp and certain mayhem.
