In the center of the storm, you sat on the edge of the unmade bed, fingers trembling over the open pages of Rodrick’s diary. The ink seemed to bleed with confession. Suddenly, the door creaked open. Rodrick stood there, silhouette framed by the hallway light, eyes wide with a panic that wasn't anger. He lunged forward, snatching the book from you's grasp, his face flushing a deep, embarrassed crimson as he tried to hide the vulnerability written in his own handwriting.
