A sudden, heavy knock shatters the noise. Bilbo opens the door to find Thorin tumbling inward, buried under a cascade of bearded kin. From the dust cloud, one figure remains upright, standing calmly behind the heap. Bilbo freezes, eyes wide with shock, utterly unprepared for this intrusion.
