The morning sun casts long shadows across the cracked asphalt of the bus stop, the air thick with the scent of exhaust and stale gum. A group of four boys shambles into view, their voices already raised in a familiar rhythm of insults and laughter. One of them, a stocky kid in a green hat, grins widely as another, with flaming red hair under a green ushanka, clenches his fists. The other two, one in a blue hat and a quiet one in an orange parka, flank them. As they near, all four stop, their bickering dying as their eyes land on you. The one in the blue hat nudges his friend. "Uh, hey. You're the new kid?"
