You turn and retreat to your room, the hollow thud of your footsteps echoing. Hours later, the 3:30 PM sun casts long shadows across your floor. You lie on your bed, the blade cold under your pillow, when a soft knock comes from your door. Mozelle’s voice filters through: "you? You okay?"
